Alien and Aliens are two of the most thrilling action films ever made, and Aliens serves as one of a SMALL number of films in which a sequel comes close to the success of the original.

Sigourney Weaver is joined by Bill Paxton, Lance Henriksen, Paul Reiser, and Michael Biehn, and instead of a single alien threatening a space ship, we have an entire herd of aliens who have wiped out a group of space colonists before a group of gung-ho space Marines are sent to kick alien backside - with Ms. Weaver's Ellen Ripley along as technical advisor.

James Cameron directed, and he duplicates the tension created by Ridley Scott in the original while multiplying the action ten-fold. Where Alien takes an hour or so to introduce the cast and the menace of the creature, Aliens benefits from us already knowing about the outer-space monster from the first movie. When we learn that there are a whole BUNCH of the critters - well, my skin crawled a little. Bill Paxton's career took off in his role as Cpl Hudson, with oft-repeated lines like "Game OVER, man! Game OVER!" Weaver's Ripley gets to be one of the pistol-packingest women of cinematic history, but also gets to mother a young girl, played by young Carrie Henn, the sole human survivor of the human colony.

The final 30 minutes of this movie are cutting-edge white-knuckle tension. The hour and a half preceding it will get your heart pumping too.

When i saw this movie at my friends house we onley watched the good parts (The battle in the atmosphere processer and the battle in the red room ECT.) even when i didnt see the whole movie I LOVED IT it was my favorite movie of all time. I'm think This is the best. I would give this 5 stars. BUY THIS MOVIE NO MATTER WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT ROCKS

This has got to be one of my all time favorite movies. Its a great movie and it will always be great. The story is interesting and it picks up from where alien left off but this time its war...This movies got some great creatures in it, the queen alien it one of the coolest monsters in any movie, and the aliens got a new look from the orgininal. This is also where the series ends in my mind as the next two and then avp are all bad. But just watch alien and aliens, mabye predator if you want. Even though im shure you wanna find out what happens to bishop,newt,ripley and hicks dont bother seeing three as it cannot compare to this movie and will. This is a definate buy.

Then, the spaceship that she is on wants her to return to a planet with the very same aliens that tried to kill her before! "ALIENS" is 1,000,000 times better than "ALIEN" and is filled with marveolus punch lines and scares! James Cameron really serves up a treat! See this film - skip out on "ALIEN." The only reason for watching it is backstory for "ALIENS." "ALIEN" sucks.

the priceless scene that's hilarious is where Bishop has his knife. asks the guy to play that game where you run the knife between each and every finger. and the dude doesn't get scared til it's his hand under the knife and Bishop goes "trust me" and the guy with his hand under goes "hey man this aint funny come on" and Bishop starts out slow and the guy starts wussing out with his moans. and Bishop goes so fast between each finger that it's hilarious. and when he's done not one finger was touched by the knife. Bishop gives the knife back to the guy and the guy goes as Bishop walks away "that wasn't funny man" and all his crew are laughing at him for not trusting Bishop
