5 of 5 stars  Entertaining stuff
Thursday, July 26, 2001
Yes, it's filler, but it's great filler. This story arc featuring Goku's stint in the afterlife following the Cell saga is a great transition (unlike the Garlic Jr. Saga. Blech). It's a welcome change of scenery, and a charming display of the weirdness and off-the-wall humor that is Akira Toriyama's hallmark. Some of the scenes in this arc are simply hilarious! And it's not full of that cheap style of character animation that made up the bulk of the Garlic Jr. Saga.

I've noticed a difference in FUNimation's handling of the show. The background music, though still redone, is nowhere near as jarring as it used to be, and even varies to fit the scenes now. The voice actors are only getting better and better, and it appears the producers are at least TRYING to stick to the original script.

So watch these videos if you want, you won't be dissappointed, like I thought I was going to be. You'll get a good laugh, and for once applaud FUNimation for their handling of the show.

3 of 5 stars  Only mediocre...
Thursday, June 28, 2001
This movie is good.. but not as good as i've seen. It shows you more of the Dragon Ball Z universe, but it still only shows the kaios (God of galaxies) hierarchy, and none of the Kaio-shin (God of galaxy clusters). Not much action, and Goku doesn't even go SSJ. However, this video has it's moments; the action scenes with Pikehan are extremely cool! And as stated before, this is much more of a filler to the DBZ plot, just like all of the DBZ movies.

Verdict: Rent it, borrow it, or get it from the library. Buying it is not a good way to spend your money.

3 of 5 stars  A Real Let Down
Saturday, March 03, 2001
After seeing the Cell Saga I have to say so far this is a disapointment. The whole plot was corny. Most of the fighters were weird. The only up side is that they introduced a great new character Pikkon. I only purchased this tape because it is going to be a long time before they even think about showing these episodes on cartoon network. I would not get this unless your really desperate to see these episodes.

4 of 5 stars  Go Goku!
Monday, February 19, 2001
They went through the battle scenes pretty fast but it was fun to watch anyway. The music is different and I was happy to see the TV announcer back. I'm glad I didn't wait until fall to watch this!!! I only give it a four because I hardly give any thing a five. This IS a good tape to buy.

5 of 5 stars  good filler
Wednesday, January 24, 2001
This is the best filler of episodes yet because the buu saga is still coming and lets face it the garlic JR. filler was really boring. Now back to the subject i love the part where Goku goes SSJ and uses the super kaioken attack on Pikkuin. They also changed the narator and the voices are very well dubbed.
