Makes learning fun and interactiveTuesday, April 19, 2005
Bought this last Christmas for my 14 month old son. He loved it then, and even more now. Though the flaps aren't as durable as what we want them to be, the book served its purpose well. It teaches more body parts....a sequel to where's baby's belly button. You must have both books in hand. He just love lifting the flaps and comparing his body parts to the pictures. This is one of Katz' books of fun that my son would carry around the house and read to himself. Illustrations are cute and colorful. Wonderful creation by Karen KAtz. Love this series. Would highly recommend to any child looking for interactive learning.

Cute, but not durableFriday, April 15, 2005
Our daughter enjoys the entire series of Karen Katz lift-the-flap books. She particularly enjoys the bright colored pictures, and the simple concepts seem to grab her attention, but she insists on lifting the flaps herself. The flaps are too flimsy in this particular book for a child in the 9-18 month age range. Several of the flaps are oversize in this particular book, which compounds the issue since she can get more leverage on the flaps and thus easily tore out several flaps within the first week of owning this book. Not something we experienced with other lift-the-flap books that we have bought.

Great illustrations, but flimsy flapsTuesday, February 22, 2005
My son really loves this book with its colorful pictures, but I need to keep it out of his hands if I want the flaps to stay put.
Each page has a sentence, the first part is on the page and the last part is on the cardboard flap when you lift it. For example, "In my boots I've got" is written on the page. You lift up the cardboard boot flap and it says, "toes" and toes are revealed on the page. The flaps are made of very thin cardboard and bend or get folded easily. Also, they are not glued on very securely. A small portion is adhered to the page and they can easily be ripped off. If this happens, it's still a good book to look at, but the last part of the sentence has disappeared with the flap.
This book is for babies to look at, but not touch.

Not as good...Friday, February 04, 2005
I have bought several Karen Katz books over the last year for our granddaughter. She enjoys Where's Baby's Bellybutton, but Toes,Ears,&Nose is not as good. Many of the flaps are very small and thin and do rip easily.Earmuffs? How many kids wear earmuffs?Under my coat is my back?True, but also a shirt under the coat. This book should have been written better than this.

A great book to teach body parts to your little one. My daughter loves to lift the flaps to see what is underneath them. A wonderful book!
