The mobile was not at all difficult to put together, as I read from one customer. I put it together in less than 10 minutes, and I had no problems with anything breaking. I just can't rate its use any higher because my son isn't born yet, so I haven't used it besides the one test wind I did to hear the song. It fit on the crib just fine and it is adjustable.

My son loves this mobile - however - i am about to return my second one - the first time the string used to attach the soccer ball was defective and now on the second one the wind up for the music just decided to break (after about one month). and what's the point with no music? I won't exchange for another - I think I will choose something else this time.

This moblie is so cute, although priced a little high for only playing a few minutes which the biggest fault. My husband and I are in the process of trying to find somethng to just get it to spin minus the music, since our son loves to watch just watch it spin. As for attaching to the crib, we too found it hard until we figured it out then hit ourselves. All you have to do is place the mobile on the inside of the crib between the slats where you want it, then tighten from the outside. We have an odd shaped crib and it fits, although it did dent the wood a bit, but so what...it's furniture that will get much more wear than a little dent!

The reason I purchased this mobile was so I could have the complete All Stars set, and when I bought it I was under the impression that it was put together all ready. So you can imagine my surprise when I found out that it came in tiny cheap plastic pieces that first had to be pried off of the piece of cardboard it came on!!! It took me about an hour to assemble the thing and my fingers are still hurting from trying to put it together!!! And when I finally finished, I brought it to my baby's room--all proud of myself I must say, because I finally succeeded in putting it together--only to find out that the stupid thing didn't even fit on the back of the crib where it belongs!! And of course it doesn't adjust to fit every crib because it's cheap plastic!!! So now I'm debating if I'm going to return it, or just keep it on the front of the crib where it doesn't really belong just because I worked so hard putting the thing together!!! Save yourself the headache and don't buy this!!! Buy something else in the All Star collection--everything else was great!!!

It took me twice the time to remove all the twist-ties and other packaging from the carton than it did to assemble the whole mobile. I love the bright colors, music is cute and loud but it doesn't quite grab the attention of my 3-month old for very long. I really only got this to go with the All-star theme nursery but I could have done without it.
