I would have to say that this is ultimately one of my favorite Cd's ever made. The Worship that is expressed to God is done so in a way that is so emotional. Some of my favorite songs are on this CD like "All Creatures" and "Stars". There is so much energy in this song writing, and you can see that DC is truly gifted through the CD "Illuminate". It is a must have CD for any Christian Music fan!

For months now the hot Christian artist has been David Crowder...turn on the radio they are talking about him, other people are talking about him and anywhere else you can think of he has probably been spoken about there too. And why? Because I honestly think this is one of the best CDs ever made! The background music and the vocals just bring you into to it so much that even if you are not a sing/dance along person one listen to this and you will be! I was reluctant to get this CD because I have heard so many people so many times say that bands were good and they were just not my style, but David Crowder is now one that even I spread the news about! My favorite songs are Illumination, and Open Skies, but honestly I have no favorites as I listen to the CD the whole way through a billion times and I am not sick of it yet. It is just full of energy and grace that will get everyone to love the music he sings and the person he sings to (God)! Check him out you will not be disappointed!

This is by far one of the greatest modern worship CDs ever produced. With 16 tracks and lots of great music, there's something here for everyone, from the popular singles ("O Praise Him (All This For A King)", "Open Skies") to other fan favorites ("Revolutionary Love", "No One Like You") - and even a second rendition of "All Creatures" (they did a nice rendition of this classic hymn on their previous release). If you're looking for that one modern worship CD that doesn't sound like all the others, this is the one you want. While some artists seem to find joy in re-doing songs that have already been done by 2 or 3 other artists in the past year, David Crowder prefers to write his own music, and show that worship music doesn't have to be boring. If you liked "Our Love Is Loud", you'll love this CD. I was a bit disappointed that their previous CD didn't contain many songs like "Our Love Is Loud", but they've made up for that on this CD. Great album. A must-have for any modern worship fan.

The lyrics contain substance and reflectiveness, and the lead vocalist puts his voice and soul into a variety of themes.

Filled with many good songs - among the best are O PRAISE HIM (ALL THIS FOR A KING), ALL CREATURES #2, and HEAVEN CAME DOWN, David Crowder Band's "ILLUMINATE" is a fresh blend of rhythm, pitch, gusto, and lyrical and acoustic quality that is hard to match in much contemporary 'rock' worship.

Indispensible to anyone seeking stylistic variety for his/her worship music collection.
