5 of 5 stars  Her First and Best album
Monday, April 25, 2005
"Stormy Weather" and "I just Want to make love to you" are both Great songs that she sung with heart. She hit the pop charts with songs on this album and created a new vocal model.

5 of 5 stars  Never Heard of Etta James? You jest!
Monday, April 04, 2005
Etta James occupies a special place in music history, one that may have been overshadowed by rock and roll or other soul/blues singers who may well have catered to the "pop" culture of the time. If you've only heard a bit of "At Last" on a Fancy Feast catfood commercial, you can appreciate this lady's work. This is a steal at the price for some great songs!

This is not a review-but a question-Do you know where I can buy the sheet music for At Last? I have searched the web and no one seems to have it. Thanks-I hope someone can help.

5 of 5 stars  American Blues = Lady Day, Pearl...and "Miss Peaches"!
Wednesday, May 05, 2004
Few voices in R&B History rival that of the lovely Etta James. The Blues Legend shares her devine gift of a voice with millions who appreciate her wonderful music. The heartfelt "At Last" is the definitive wedding song. The rendition of "Stormy Weather" rivals the Lena Horne version, and "A Sunday Kind of Love" proves that Etta James is American Blues Royalty. When you listen to a heartbroken Etta James declaring "All I Could Do Was Cry", you feel the pain of a hurt teenager.

"Miss Peaches" is one of the great R&B/Jazz singers of our time. This CD covers 14 of her best loved songs. It is a treasured part of my music collection, and I can highly recommend it!*****

4 of 5 stars  Ms. James Is Exceptional!
Monday, February 16, 2004
My goodness. Etta is a goddess! Her voice sounds like an angel straight from heaven. Although Etta's voice is raw and powerful, it has a beauty to it that is completely unique to her. Not to mention, how can you forget the classic songs on this album, like "At Last" and "Sunday Kind of Love". You must check out this album. Etta's voice is like no other!
