5 of 5 stars  THE DUBS-MORE THAN JUST "MAGIC."
Wednesday, November 26, 2003
We all remember "Could This Be Magic," a doo wop classic. But, the Dubs did a great job on all their cuts. Unlike some groups that just sound good on their few hits and the rest are forgettable, the Dubs have a CD filled with great sounds. There's not a bad one in the bunch. Listen to this and be pleasantly surprised. They take a back seat to no other groups.

5 of 5 stars  Fantastic Doo Wop and all original recordings.
Wednesday, October 29, 2003
I love the Dubs Doo Wop and I love all the songs on the CD. If the recordings or artists are not the original they are terrible. I have this on an album and never thought I would be able to get it on a tape as it is pretty old. I really love the sound of the Dubs.

5 of 5 stars  Great CD from a Great Group
Sunday, June 15, 2003
I'm one of those people who grew up in the fifties and sixties listening to top 40 radio out of Philadelphia, especially WIBG with Joe Niagra and Hi Lit. I always loved the vocal groups that kind of got pushed aside by the British invasion groups. When the Doo Wop Boxes came out I was thrilled to be able to hear the old groups like the Spaniels, Flamingos, Hearts, Belmonts and others. It made me want to dig deeper into those fantastic sounds, so I started searching for more. I remembered the Dubs hits like "Crying in the Chapel" and "Could this Be Magic", but wasn't familiar with some of their other recordings, so when I came across this CD I picked it up. It was a real eyeopener. Cuts like "Is There a Love For Me" (my absolute favorite), "Your Very First Love" and "You're Free to Go" are just as good as their more well known tunes. In fact, I agree with another reviewer who said that there is not a bad cut on the whole CD. If you are a lover of Doo Wop, this is a CD you will want in your collection.

5 of 5 stars  Not a single clinker!
Saturday, May 26, 2001
I bought this CD primarily because I love "Could This Be Magic". Every song on this CD is wonderful. I don't know if I have a favorite anymore. That this group wasn't hugely popular is a mystery to me. Richard Blandon has the most marvelous voice and these songs are ALL terrific. Not a clinker among them. Buy this CD and listen to it about a million times like I have.

4 of 5 stars  ONE OF THE BEST GROUPS!!!!!
Thursday, October 08, 1998
The Dubs were one of the best R&B groups of the 50's....Richard Blandon always sang his heart out on their great songs..."Could This Be Magic", "Chapel Of Dreams", "Such Lovin'"..etc...were the same quality as The Drifters, The Clovers and The Flamingos...The sad part was that they never recorded for a big label that was able to push their music. This cd shows how GOOD these guys really were. It's a must on your shopping list of Classic R&B Groups.
