I've played the original edition movie many times and loved it. Was really looking forward to this. Don't know what they did wrong, but it sure was something. We have two DVD players, a Toshiba and a Panasonic. The Toshiba is less than 6 months old, and the Panasonic has never failed to play a non-defective disk...until now.

The disk is partially playable on the Toshiba, but you can't stop the game once started except by ejecting the disk. Sometimes it freezes, and you have to start all the way over, going through all those introductions you can't bypass. At final cut, if you say you got the answer wrong, it always freezes, and you've got to eject the disk and lose everything. The Panasonic simply says the format of the disk can't be read.

Screenlife, while polite, basically says, "We're looking into it". So, be forwarned. Be prepared for the possibility that the game is unplayable on your equipment and make sure you save your receipt. I'm not sure what Amazon's return policy is in this situation, whether you get a full refund or not. After all, it isn't their fault, it's the manufacturers.

Sure hope they fix this.

This game is the best! It keeps selling out, but luckily we were finally able to get one. We have been playing it non-stop and really having such a blast with it.It's very fun playing it with several people in teams and it's just as much fun playing with only two people. Several of us have decided that this was our new favorite party game. You won't be disappointed if you buy this one. I hope they will continue to make extras for these games because we will keep buying them!

this game was very exciting to me at first until i realized i couldnt answer any of the questions...they questions were very challenging i think only people with a high level of movie trivia and 20 year old people and up should play this game

After playing the movie version at a friend's home, I was thrilled to learn about the new TV version. The concept is great, the design of the pieces is clever and the questions on the disk are lots of fun. However, after one or two questions my disk freezes up. The DVD player has to be repowered and then we start over watching the same intro again. This whole process takes almost five minutes and can make everyone quickly loses interest in the game.

I contacted customer service at Screenlife and they wanted the model number of my DVD player. The player is less than a year old and is a top of the line Sony player. They were incredibly helpful and explained that they're still working out some kinks. They sent me a new disk which I received in just a couple of days. This disk was no better than the first. After contacting them again, they explained that there is yet another format they're working on that is not available yet. I have been placed on a waiting list for the new disk. They recommend I try a new player (or even a playstation) in the meantime.

I understand that this is not a regular DVD movie and that there are bound to be compatibility issues. But imagine the dissapointment of having this game and not being able to play it! It was one of the hottest items this Christmas and was not cheap! I also bought it for family and friends as a gift. I'll be embarassed if they run into the same problems.

But I do have to say that the customer service at Screenlife has been exceptional and prompt--more than I ever expected.

This game is sooooo fun! I played it with my family for 2 hrs.! The only thing is, kids can't really play because all of the shows are from like, the 70s and 80s. But it is still a blast! I love it, love it, love it!!!!!!!!!
