Whole CD Is Worth ItMonday, May 16, 2005
This is one of those CDs that doesn't disappoint. The lead singer for this group sounds like a cross between Travis Tritt and the Van Zandt brothers. The rock musicianship is very good, with plenty of riffs, catchy intros matched to interesting lyrics, which are well understood even without the liner notes. I like every song and the band's style. This CD is Christian rock - not grunge, heavy metal, garage or pop. However, every song is not overtly Christian. Some are simply good tunes, such as San Angelo, an ode to the city itself, and I Wanna Be a Rock Star. But the positive message is still clearly at the root of all the lyrics.

Every song I have heard by Third Day has been uplifting and inspiring. If you feel the spirit is asleep within you this will most certainly wake it. Third Day has lyrics that make you cry and melodies that keep your feet tapping. Any CD by this band is worth it's weight in gold. AWESOME!!!
These guys not only know how to worship, but they know musicFriday, March 25, 2005
So Far, Third Day and Audio Adrenaline are neck-and-neck in the "My Favorite Christian Band" competition. I'll buy a CD from one and play nothing else for a month, then buy a CD from the other and lose another month to them...
This one, however YOU read it, rocks. It may be the pinacle of their artisan-ship to this point, and more may be waiting in the wings, but this one IS IT! The doubt of "Wire" played against the certainty of "I've Got a Feeling" is pure perfection.
Except for the fact that we all expect much greater things from them with their later works...
Rockin' Worship!Monday, March 21, 2005
Southern rock and modern worship never sounded so good!! This is a great witnessing tool, as I know lots of people that might be intimidated by the lable Christian Rock or Gospel. Third Day have a talent and love for God that surpasses any lable!

To the reviewer that wrote the "Jesus Freak" review: You must not know Third Day because inside this CD each song says written by Mac Powell (The lead singer) and music by Third Day. So they do write their own songs.
Anyway, his CD is Third Day's best (Come Together is their 2nd best.) This album rocks. My personal favorites are "Come Back To Me" and "Til the Day I Die." This is good for Christian or secular music listeners (which is what I prefer, good music without a lot of preaching and worship.)
