This book says too little about so much. Save your money and buy a real book not a promo type book for other books.

This is the best VB.NET book out there and its the cheapest!!!!
GO FIGURE...It has a great section on ADO.NET with excellent examples. Its a bible!!!! The Murach book is a good primer...but I think this book is better.

Excellent ChoiceFriday, January 10, 2003
This book is something special, I have brought 8 book on Visual Basic .NET and none of them compared to the information of this book. I would the first 4 or 5 chapters of those other books and would not learn anything, this book takes you throught real examples and it is written for all levels. I am a mid-level programmer and I was very impressed.

Don't ignore this book because of its low price. I don't have time to read this book from cover to cover. But I read those sections that is important to my projects. All the chapters I read are very clear, to the point and well written.
This is not a reference book. It skips such parts like advanced user interface controls and some other things. But for those things it covers, it covers them very good.
Now I find I spend more time on this book than other big reference books I have about VB.NET.
