Our son is 20lbs & 27 inches now at 6 months old. My mom bought us this swing before our son was born ... to this day it is one of the few things that can get him to sleep. He loves to just sit in it and watch everything going on around him. We haven't used the mobile really that much but the music feature is great and he loves to look at himself in the mirror under the mobile. We purchase duracell batteries for it approximately once a month, and please remember we use the swing CONSTANTLY ... So we find that the battery purchase is well worth it because it makes him so happy to be in that swing. Also, we have put him in other swings and they just don't compare ... he does not look comfortable at all in other swings .. the papasan swing cradles him like it should, allowing him to feel safe and secure enough to fall asleep in it and be relaxed and very comfortable. I know the papasan swing is one of the higher priced ones on the market but only by a few dollars really and like I said before ... definitely worth it ... we have been using the swing since he was about 2 weeks old and to this day he still loves it!!! Thank you fisher-price!

She loved it for about 1 week and then it was over..
It was very nicely made and loved the swinging motion of side to side(as did my daughter) the spinning animals were cute too, but she didnt seem too impressed with it after about a week.

I thought 5 weeks was a little young for a swing, but at the advice of the Happiest Baby on the Block book, I decided we could try it to help with our sleeping habits. My son sleeps OK, but VERY noisily and restlessly, so while he sleeps, my husband and I are wide awake listening to him. I bought this swing, and the best feature is the "cradle" swinging motion, as it swings in both directions. After our middle of the night feeding, I put him in the swing and he's sleeping so soundly in it for another 3 hours or so. It's given us the much needed bought of rest we needed. Then, in the morning, I can put him back into it AWAKE, with the mobile on, and he stars up at the mirror and mobile transfixed. This finally gives me some time to eat breakfast, get dressed, etc... he even fell back asleep in it on his own once. I tried him with it rocking in the other direction and he didn't seem to like that much, but I'm sure once he's older he will. The only negative I've found so far is that it's a little big and bulky, so it's not convenient to move from one room to the next. It's in our bedroom right now and it's saving us!

My son would not take naps in his crib but would nap for hours in this swing. The soothing music and sounds are very pleasant and my son likes to look at himself in the mirrored part.

Our son has been using this swing since we came home from the hospital, and still takes naps in it ( he's 7 months old)!
It's a wonderful swing and i wouldnt trade it for anything :)
It was one of our best investment!
