The interplay between these two guitarists is incredible, showing a true mastery of the surf music sound. All the songs sound very vintage and totally authentic. Listen to this alblum and you are indeed transported back to the early 60's. This surf music has a darker, aggresive theme to the songs as you can hear from the samples. If you liked some of Dick Dales early surf music you will indeed love this alblum by the Mel-tones. I actually think these guys are better than Dick Dale!
