Keeps my 4 1/2 year old busy for hours!!Friday, January 14, 2005
I bought this and the X-wing, as well as several action figures, for my son for Christmas. He (and his Daddy) play for hours with them. Pretty durable, believe me my son can break anything, 3 weeks after Christmas and they are both still intact. (Unfortunatly the dog chewed Luke's (Skywalker) head off this morning.) I do think they should have come with an action figure, as I find it hard to find certain ones (like Luke). I also think its great that they do not require batteries, imagination is a good thing.

i love this ship i already wrote a review about the x-wing and i love
that ship! i love this one too! you can push a button on the side and the wings will come off for battle damage i love this toy if you know you are going to buy the tie fighter annd if you see a action figure called tie fighter piolet GET IT! (because the figre is not included) this toy is awsome. but just to let you know dont buy the darth vader ship because i bought it for 30 bucks and when i tryed to put it on my shelf and the wings fell off. BUT DONT WORRIE THIS TOY IS WORTH YOUR MONEY ITS ONLY 20 BUCKS! AND ITS EVEN BETTER THAN THE 30 BUCK DARTH VADER SHIP SO BUY THIS TOY IT ROCKS!

Tie fighter is awesomeTuesday, November 09, 2004
the only disppointing thing about this newest release of the tie fighter is that it has no electronics. But other than that it is very easy to put together-no decals-pretty accurate-hey-for 19.99 you are ripping hasbro off!

AN EXCELLENT BUY...Saturday, November 06, 2004
This TIE fighter is excellent!! Just like the one I had when I was 7, only much better!! The detail is amazing. No dumb battery compartments for the "lights and sound" features--because there aren't any. The panels pop off for battle damage and have, so far, stayed on when I wanted them to. The old one I had would blow the panels off after enough playtime and would really bother me after a while because you would just set the thing down and the panels would pop off. Man, I hated that!! This one doesn't seem to have that problem yet. The color of the ship is nice and the price isn't TOO bad where you couldn't buy 2 or 3 to have a nice, little fleet. I think you do NOT have to buy the X-wing to go with this because the Red Leader X-wing fighter is a much better toy to buy. The detail is way better and it just looks better. These classic Star Wars ships are loads of fun and can stand the test of time. I loved them 30 years ago and my kids love them now.
