The Lonely Position of Neutral
Description
Though this semi-anguished boy-metal group claims that lock-jawed Helmet is a primary influence (and layers of frayed guitar chords support that claim) Trust Company are better characterized as a simpler and slightly more heartfelt relative of Linkin Park. Minus the turntables and digital tricks, but laden with revealing lyrics, a wide guitar sound, and thumping rock rhythms, Trust Company charge fearlessly through the gaping hole in the pop landscape left by more famous contemporaries. Thanks to Linkin producer Don Gilmore, their major-label debut is smoother than those of Papa Roach and Puddle of Mudd. To their detriment, they're sometimes lulled by the slickness of their polished hooks. Like the title implies, the ride is more impressive when the band dares to veer beyond its own neutrality. --Ian Christe

5 of 5 stars  Best Rock of 2002
Sunday, March 06, 2005
This is one of the best rock albums of 2002. Every track on this album can be repeated and still be fresh. The lyrics take on a totally different meaning each time you listen to them, and are easy to bring into your own life for evaluation. This is an amazing debut effort, and only a preview of things to come on True Parallels.

3 of 5 stars  eh, not that great but it is worth a listen or 2.

im not a huge trust co fan but they do have potential to be huge, just not on this record. i like to listen to this every now and then because i rarely ever listen to this cd. the only worth while thing about the band is there bass player. the singer isnt bad but he sounds like a school girl in some of the songs and the band is lacking creativity. they were big for awhile but then it seemed like they just disappeared off the face of the earth. however im looking forward to there sophomore cd TRUE PARELLELS which sounds like its going to be very good , but who knows it could end up like this cd. i just really wish i could get into them but as for now ill stick to more new bands like 3 days grace, 3doors down, chevelle, incubus, queens of the stone age, crossfade etc...

4 of 5 stars  A band that sounds like an affected Linkin Park
Friday, February 25, 2005
Very catchy as I read a review on allmusic.com. Once you've listened once, you're friggin beggin for more!!!!! I was admittedly glued to the lead single Downfall for a long time so their follow-up should be awesome in a way, too. This would be a good place to start to set your ego straight - Linkin Park withdrawal syndrome (Heh). If they're gone off the airwaves for a long time, this should last (I hope) a long time than this outing has been. Rivalists be warned. This is your chance to pick this puppy up before True Parallels comes out in late March '05. Yo!!!!!

5 of 5 stars  Perfect Album
Wednesday, February 02, 2005
I tend to read alot of amazon reviews and will purchace cds because die hard fans like to say that every song is excellent. well, i am a fan, and this album is flawless. I love it when i buy a cd and listen to every song and think that this could stand well on its own as a single, and when i bought this cd, thats exactly what happened. If youve heard any of their songs and liked them, pick up this cd, you will not regret it.

5 of 5 stars  Pretty good debut.

This is a good debut from trustcompany. There are alot of songs which stand out. The whole cd just kicks ass. Songs like falling apart, hover and the fear are some sick songs. Trustcompany sounds alot different from the music your getting on the air ways they bring their own sense of style to the industry. Check this cd out.
Its worth buying.
By the way to the Kripsy dude this is not a metal cd you need to check your head before you call trustcompany a metal band. They are far from metal.
