OK, forget about the soundtrack and the fact that it was ripped off from the "Dawn Of the Dead" soundtrack. Forget the cheesy and unexplainable jungle stock footage that interrups this movie at odd times......THIS IS A GREAT ZOMBIE STORY!!!!

The best part about this film is the pace it is told at. The movie does not move very fast, but cannot be considered slow-moving either. This really sets up the anticipation and suspense and really makes this movie quite enjoyable.

The story is simple. There is a large, experimental project taking place at a large factory. The name of the project is H.O.P.E. and things go bad quickly. There is a sudden leakage of a checmical fume, which infects the body, kills the human, and then brings them back as a zombie, complete with all the typical zombie traits.
Our main characters are a small group of soldiers, sent on a top-secret mission through the jungle. On their way, they run into 4 travelers and thier young, recently bitten child. two of these travelers survive the upcoming zombie attack and join the army group on the rest of their mission---for protection.

On the way to their "final destination" the group repeatedly runs into zombies and must fight their way through them.

This movie beat all expectations I had. I love zombie movies and always find something about them that I will like, but this was an even better surprise. As always, I read all the reviews on this site and so many people have written negative things about this movie, that I was beginning to have doubts. But, after watching the movie, I see that either they just could not get over the soundtrack thing OR they just don't like zombie flicks; and let me warn you, if you do NOT like zombies, flesh, gore, blood and tension, then do NOT watch this movie!! it's that simple!!

Oh yeah, speaking of the gore; there is more than plenty of it. And the about the whole ripping off of the soundtrack; hey, as far as I',m cancerned, the "Dawn of the Dead" soundtrack is one of my all time favorites, so to hear it in another movie, only means I can hear it more. I know where it originated, so who cares that it was used in another zombie flick...just goes to show that Goblin created the ultimate music to watch zombies to.

Anyway, Zombie fans--you'll love this one!!

The acting is bad, There is alot of stock footage that ruin a bit the movie, we get lost sometime in the movie, but its still funny, the Zombie make up is great, the Gore is excellent but well done, its fun to watch..

Sure its stupid and cheesy but gore and Zombie fans should enjoy this one, the ending gore scene is very nice, well done but good...I think i`m too much of a zombie fan i like every zombie movie just because its gore, sometimes if the story is bad it doesnt matter as long as there is gore and good looking Zombie..But this movie is still a cheesy, stupid, gory, classic Zombie movie..

You should enjoy this one if your an hardcore Zombie movie, but if you want a good horror movie with a good story and with great actor, just pass this one!!

Boring, boring and yep, boring. The beginning and the very end were the only good parts. The end, had good scenes of gore. Anyway, the whole movie was dragging and lame. The zombies were extremely boring like and motionless. You have bad acting and pointless scenes of jungle people dancing and a going no where story and u got urself a very bad zombie flick. I believe its also called " Night Of The Dead ", so watch out for that name aswell as " hell of the living dead " dont even bother to rent it.. -2 stars

This is one of the cheap knock-offs of DAWN OF THE DEAD, right down to the ripped-off soundtrack. It is poorly made, and sort of slow in parts (especially the terrible National Geographic stock wildlife footage)... but if you're into Zombies or European gore from the 70's/80's... this film is a MUST. When the zombies attack, the movie really kicks. Expect the usual gore as the cast is butchered. Great apocalyptic ending, too. I give this 4 stars from the view point of a zombie fanatic, if you like Zombies, you're at the right stop!!

Classic italian zombie/cannibal movie,bad dubbing, so so plot, but lots of gore. It kind of makes you wonder why one zombie movie becomes a classic and another zombie movie becomes just mediocre. Maybe it was just the Goblin soundtrack that gave this zombie film the feel of a classic but all in all I would have to say that it was definitely worth adding to my zombie movie collection.
P.S. I LOVE THE ENDING!!!
