Another Solid Soul/Pop AlbumThursday, October 24, 2002
Paul Carrack- the man with the aching blue-eyed soul voice produced his own cd this time. "Satisfy My Soul" sounds like a lost hit single from the 60s- sorta like "Stand By Me". "My Kind" is classic Carrack- midtempo soul/pop with a great vocal. "Running Out Of Time" reminds me of his work with Mike & The Mechanics. "Better Than Nothing" is a good Steely Dan song (written by Carrack).Carrack plays most of the instruments on this outing- which isn't necessarily the best thing. This one pales in comparison to his great "Blue Views" album, but is still adult contemporary music for people with good taste.

Poorly producedWednesday, September 18, 2002
Very disappointingly, Paul Carrack and his team have failed to deliver a quality product with this album - no offense intended.
Getting straight to the point, the arrangements, production and certain aspects of the musicianship (despite the clear vocals) simply don't cut the mustard - it sounds like an amateur production.
If you're after more music in the vain and quality of "Blue Views" & "Beautiful World", and even "Groove Approved", then forget it - this album is not in the same class.
Best to wait for another album, and hopefully, the return to classic Carrack: smooth, well-produced pop/soul with those unique vocals.

Smooth and SilkyWednesday, September 05, 2001
If there is any artist that is "under-appreciated" it has to be Paul Carrack. This guy could write a great song in his sleep, and when he works with Chris Dilford, the results are magic. Buy the album and you will be pleased. Finally, smart music for smart people who can appreciate a good song and vocals. Keep singing Paul and satisfy all of our souls.

What can I say??? This is certainly one of the best albums of 2000. This, really smooth and somewhat acoustic CD is something you should get immediately. Paul Carrack, the voice of Squeeze, Ace and Mike and the mechanics has released several soloalbums, but this one is with no doubt his best effort so far. Mike himself also thinks that this is his best album to date. Simply Beautiful. Viktor
