Good concept, funny shape, hard to readSaturday, June 05, 2004
I usually love anything that the OXO good grips people make. I do not like this measuring cup. It is hard to read when you look down into the cup and try to figure out how much is in it--especially if you are measuring water or clear liquids. I still find myself holding up the cup and reading it from the side the "old" way. In fact I'm planning on replacing it with a regular type measure and gettting rid of it. It also does not "stack" into my other measuring cups, so it is not a space saver.
Also the shape is strange-- it is hard to get all the ingredients out of it, even when you use a small spatula. So what good is the supposed better accuracy if you leave too much in the cup-- then the amount of ingredients is not correct anyway.

Ingenious! Makes you wonder why it wasn't invented sooner!Friday, December 26, 2003
I own both the 1-cup and 2-cup and recommend you buy both for measuring liquids. If you don't want to buy both, just buy the 2-cup, as it's more versatile. I have other measuring cups, but these are the ones I reach for over and over. Very convenient - no bending - I love it! Ingenious! My only criticism - and it's very minor - is that the design of the handle makes it wobble slightly rather than sitting firmly on a flat surface. If they correct this minor design flaw, it would get five stars.
What a cool gadget!!!!Wednesday, December 24, 2003
This is the most handy measuring cup ever. I have several different kinds and this is the best. I just wonder why no one thought of it sooner. No more bending down at eye level to see if your a the correct measurement. I liked mine so much, I bought 3 more as gifts!! You can't go wrong with this. Oxo makes the best kitchen products.
I Love this Measuring cup!Sunday, October 26, 2003
How ingenious is this design! It makes measuring so simple. Now I have no doubt about the quantities I am using since I am always in a hurry to get things done. I love it.

Plastic isn't necessarily a probem.Thursday, September 25, 2003
In regard to the reviewer(s) who didn't appreciate the fact that this item is made of plastic, I'd like to mention that the reason I purchased this measuring cup was because my Pyrex glass one met an untimely death when it slipped into my cast-iron sink. True, it has its drawbacks when measuring oily or very hot liquids, but I'd recommend having a second, glass one for such and purchasing this innovatively designed measuring cup for the majority of your cooking needs. I've been very pleased with all the OXO Good Grip products I've purchased; This one is no exception.
