Great music.Friday, February 27, 2004
I had an old warn out cassette of this music and I'm glad to see that it's now available in CD format. The sound quality is much better than the old cassette. The voices are beautiful voice and the songs are thrilling. The arrangements are well done.
Lovely roundsFriday, August 29, 2003
This is an excellent CD with lovely vocals. I look forward to using it in my winter soltice rituals as it has a very "rennaissance" feel. Very mystical.

Hauntingly beautiful!Sunday, June 22, 2003
A cross-cultural goddess centered CD, full of powerful and hauntingly beautiful rounds, chants, and song. Highly recommended for personal meditation and/or for public/private ritual. Chants that truly celebrate Mother Earth and Her universe at Her best!

getting better everytime I listen to itTuesday, March 18, 2003
I bought the CD only off of the reviews as I was not able to listen to the songs from the site. First I would NOT completely judge the CD from the first for songs that Amazon lets you listen to, because they are the most Church chior like of all the songs on the album.
When I first got the album and listened to the first six songs they reminded me tooo much of being in a cathedral with a 20 women chorus singing. After the first six songs it reminds me of christmas caroling with too perfect singers. The songs range from deeply repetative chants such as
"the circle is cast, again and again and again, the circle is cast..."
Or "the earth the air the fire the water, returns returns returns returns..."
to songs that I would have expected in what I can't think of explaining except as "Old country" or "folk songs" through the same medium of caroling.
Then there are a few songs that are still hard for me to listen to as I already mentioned remind me of being sung from a cathedral.
All of the songs sound very professional. Some songs have some (very few) instruments but most all of the music is vocal.
At first there were only four songs that I thought I would listen to over and over. And my first impression probably would have given it a 3 or 4 stars, with the comment that it is for a very specific type of listener. Now only after listening to it a few times, I find the whole album to grow on me and I find solice and peace and healing when listening to the album.
I hope you find the same, blessed be.

Actually I give it 2 and 1/2 starsTuesday, June 04, 2002
This album would be really good if you could understand the lyrics a litle more easily and none of their songs were about the patrichial Judeo-Christian God. After all, it's hardly appropiate to include songs and chants about God on a album that's supposed to be Goddess-centered! Also the songs are much to short.
I guess if I had to sum it up in a word it would be OK. I can't really say that I reccomend it. There are lots of albums that are better.
