The design of this pad makes a changing table a lot safer for a wiggly baby. About 1.5 inches thick in the middle, it rises to fully 4.25 inches high at the sides, making it almost impossible to roll off. There's also the standard nylon strap (with plastic snap-together buckle) across the middle. Two securing tabs mean the pad can be nailed or screwed in place on a changing table made of wood or a similar material. The bottom surface of the pad is stiffened with an interior board and foam-covered on the outside so that it's nonslip. The top surface, quilted in a rose pattern, can be wiped clean. --Richard Farr
