Product Description
It Was All a Dream
Description
After a period of chart dormancy, Puffy Combs's Bad Boy label made a chart comeback with teen female quartet Dream's first single, "He Loves U Not." A catty, canny update of the time-tested petal-plucking romance guide, it's also something of a red herring on
It Was All a Dream
, the group's debut album. Although the disc is a well-made pop-R&B showcase for the girls' technically adept voices, the four have yet to develop a sound beyond competence; Destiny's Child they're not (yet). More bite along the lines of "He Loves U Not" and less "helpless" yearning (the unconvincing "Pain," the blinder-wearing "I Don't Like Anyone") would've made this
Dream
feel a lot closer to reality.
